At the bike store as a boy:

As a teen buying a moped:

Teen: Is it fast?
Moped Guy: It’s got a lightning bolt on it, doesn’t it?

As a young man buying a used Camaro:

Young man: Is it fast?
Car Salesman: I don’t even know if it’s street legal.

As a parent:

About Artist & Song in Commercial

It seems like this is one of those classic rock songs that possibly everybody on earth has heard, but not everybody knows who sings it or the title of the song. One thing that a lot of people don’t know about this song, Ted Nugent doesn’t sing the vocals on it. The vocals are sung by Derek St. Holmes, who was the rhythm guitar player in Ted Nugent’s band.

The track is the first track on Nugent’s first Solo record. I think it’s interesting that the first song on his first solo album is an eight minute guitar attack. According to the magazine Guitar World, the #31 guitar solo of all time is in the song Stranglehold. This song has been used in several movies including: Bad News Bears, Superbad, and Dazed and Confused. Watch the video below of Ted Nugent performing this song live in 1979. He is insane, but an amazing showman.

The song has been in countless movies and several tv shows. I guess he thought that using it in a commercial wasn’t much different, especially when there was free money involved.
